At Rivendell Academy, by graduation day all students need a minimum of 60 hours of community service to graduate. Therefore, there are many opportunities out there for students to earn those hours. Some of them are helping with basketball. Some students get many hours by helping the coaches with the basketball book.

Another way is to help out with the Lions Tournament that is coming up. Some other opportunities are working in the summer time doing the trail crew. The trail crew is working with some other students doing some outside work. The work will include fixing up and maintaining a few different trails in the Hanover, Thetford, and Rivendell area. Something to know is, you not only get community service, but you also get paid. This happens during the summer after school is out. You are required to work the whole 40 hours once you sign up for this.

A few more opportunities include volunteering at nursing homes, daycares or after school programs. The contact information is below for volunteering at the after school programs.
